Agricultural Franchise
AGRICULTURAL FRANCHISE
Over 15.2 Million people living in Madagascar are farmers (INSTAT, 2006). This figure therefore represents a significant potential for the economic development of the country. An improvement in this sector alone, in a manner that combines traditional knowledge, advanced technology and increased infrastructural development, will have a significant impact on the productivity of the country as a whole. Cultivation areas will increase whilst production volume increases. This illustrates creative new models for agribusiness and environmental protection in Madagascar as well.

MEGASEEDS will therefore leave a legacy of knowledge transfer in agribusiness thorugh the agricultural agricultural franchise programme; Innovation through new the introduction of new agricultural techniques and intensified mechanization of farming; and Infrastructure development alongside for diverse rural communities.
THE MEGASEEDS FRANCHISE PROGRAMME
The franchise is explained by the following:
Seedlings and agricultural machines will be available to farmers via a system of leasing with an assistance ensured by our technicians
Part of their production, proportional to the cost of the Seedlings and the machine will be restituted to MEGASEEDS as part payment during the leasing period.
Thus, we intend to boost the agricultural productivity within the region.
